An established industry player is seeking a compassionate Recovery Worker to join their Assessment Team. In this role, you will provide vital support to individuals facing challenges related to substance misuse. Your responsibilities will include managing referrals, conducting assessments, and developing tailored plans to empower clients on their journey to recovery. As a Recovery Worker you will be providing support and advice to people who are experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse.
You will manage referrals into the service, completing triage assessment and providing appropriate harm reduction advice. You will also develop plans with clients to help them get their lives back to where they want them to be. There will be assessments to carry out and records you need to keep and update, that's all part of our professional commitment and service to our clients and commissioners.

You will be a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. We're looking for demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, ideally with those with substance misuse issues. You will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills and able to manage your time effectively, working as part of a team to ensure a high quality service is maintained. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do, with a positive and engaging approach to our clients and key stakeholders. We will provide you with the training and support that you need to develop in your role. Please note, working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. However, there may be some Saturday working on an occasional basis. Please note, this is a Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2026.
