Job description

Community Inpatient Unit provides Rehabilitation, Re-ablement and recovery interventions for adults in North East Lincolnshire. The service will promote faster recovery from illness, prevent unnecessary acute hospital admissions and premature admissions to long-term care, support timely discharge from hospital and maximise independent living wherever possible. Multi-professional staff will collaborate with individuals to ensure they achieve their full potential in terms of their level of independence, health, and wellbeing.

Hours: full and part time hours available

Rota pattern: you will be required to work a rota pattern

Salary Range: £21,841 (under 21) - £23,875 (over 21) fixed salary point pro rata per annum.

We are seeking some highly motivated and passionate recovery workers to join the MDT team at Community Inpatient Unit. The service provides short term rehab and reablement for Services Users who may need to regain their confidence and skills on discharge from hospital or to get over a short-term health exacerbation. We encourage and support our Service Users to live as independent lives as possible and we always act in a manner that supports the care, protection, health and well-being of the Service User. This post will work alongside a wider MDT based at CIU including Nurses, Social Workers, Therapists and Assistant Practitioners to support service users to reach their rehab potential and move forward in their health journey.

As a recovery worker, you will support patients with personal and nutritional care needs, working with nurses and therapists to deliver enhanced care, and support individuals to regain independence via motivational and encouragement techniques.

You will work under the direction of the HCA/Assistant Practitioner and Nursing team and will carry out assigned tasks involving personal and nutritional care needs to patients. The post holder will follow protocols, guidance, and procedures under direction.
