As a recovery coach volunteer based at Substance to Solution in Corby, you will be using your own experiences of recovery to help others and demonstrate change is possible.
You will be working alongside the recovery coordinators to promote recovery and support service users on a one-to-one basis, guiding them to achieve their goals and build recovery capital. This can include supporting them to attend a group or appointments, helping them to complete application forms and access external support from services such as housing, mutual aid, and community projects. You will also be making telephone calls to service users providing them with a listening ear, guidance, and support. You will be a positive role model to the service users motivating, encouraging, and inspiring them to reach their potential.
You will be provided with all the skills, training, and support you will need to undertake the role.
