Receptionist (Part-time)

We are seeking a Receptionist to join a financial services company based in Central London on a part-time basis (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays in office), 8.30AM-4PM. This role will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth running of front desk, including greeting guests, setting up meeting rooms, managing phone lines, coordinating courier collections, and covering the EA/Office Manager when they are away. The role will suit a humble and highly organised individual with a positive attitude and professional approach.

Location: London (Central)

Permanent, Part-time: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays in office

Salary: £30K FTE

Office Hours: 8.30am to 4pm

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Reporting to the EA/Office Manager, the key responsibilities of this role will include:

  1. Meet and greet all guests, ensuring meeting rooms are booked and prepared ahead of time
  2. Manage incoming calls and transfer to relevant staff member in timely manner
  3. Coordinate mail and courier requests, including sorting and distributing all incoming post
  4. Maintain stationery and refreshment stocks, and coordinating orders and deliveries when required
  5. Arrange internal catering orders when requested
  6. Cover the EA/Office Manager when needed
  7. Support the business on other adhoc projects

WHO YOU ARE

This role will suit a highly organised individual, with strong time management skills and ability to multitask effectively. You will have:

  1. Previous experience managing a busy reception desk
  2. High level of professionalism to effectively represent the company
  3. Excellent organisational skills, with high attention to detail and ability to prioritise effectively
  4. Outstanding communication skills, including professional phone manner
  5. Proactive and intuitive approach, with agility to work flexibly as part of the broader team
