An established educational institution is seeking a dedicated individual to join their after school care provision. This role involves supervising the library area, providing reception cover, and ensuring the safety of students as they leave with appropriate adults. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, empathy towards children, and a solid understanding of child protection and health & safety. If you offer experience of working in a childcare setting along with skills as a receptionist, this is an opportunity to play a key role as part of Oxford High School’s after school care provision.
We are looking for someone to provide library area supervision, reception cover and oversee the signing in and out of students of after school care and ensure they leave with an appropriate adult/their parent where necessary.
Your additional responsibilities will include:
Your hours of work will be between 15:45 – 18:15 Monday to Friday during term time only. These may vary slightly on different days.
A degree of flexibility with your working arrangements is required from time to time to assist us in meeting the needs of the busy school calendar.
Safeguarding and first aid training will be provided.
You will need the ability to use language and communication skills to relate to children and young people, establish positive relationships, and empathise with their needs.
Knowledge of child protection issues and an understanding of health & safety requirements are equally important.
