An exciting opportunity for a receptionist/office clerk to provide support to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) based at the Harrington Building has arisen.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and well-organized individual to join our team in the role of receptionist/office clerk. To ensure patients receive the best care possible, we are looking for someone to bring a positive approach to our working environment.

Main Duties of the Job

Successful candidates must have experience working in a busy customer service-based role and excellent IT skills. A high standard of both written and verbal communication and a confident telephone manner will be essential. You will need to work flexibly and apply a methodical approach to a varying and busy workload. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team are required. A friendly and conscientious outlook is also necessary, as is the ability to liaise with all levels of staff and patients.

This role is full-time Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours, and is based at the Harrington Building, which is located next to the main entrance of the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

Person Specification

Experience

  • Proven/substantial experience of working in a reception/customer service role
  • NHS/health-related administration experience

Other

  • Ability to travel across MFT footprint

Qualifications

  • GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English or equivalent experience

Communication Skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with staff, children/young people, and their families in a polite and diplomatic manner
  • Experience of liaising with more than one discipline

Personal Attributes

  • Good timekeeping
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability and commitment to work as a member of a busy administration and multidisciplinary team
  • Ability and willingness to undertake further training as required
