We have an opportunity for an experienced Receptionist to join the NCGPA practice teams. For this role we are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and committed individual with a proven record of delivering exceptional customer service in a general practice environment. Accuracy and attention to detail are key to this role.

While seeking treatment, patients entrust us with, or allow us to gather, sensitive information in relation to their health and other matters. They do so in confidence and have the right to expect that staff will respect their privacy and act appropriately. In the performance of the duties outlined in this Job Description, the post-holder may have access to confidential information relating to patients and their carers, practice staff and other healthcare workers. They may also have access to information relating to the practice as a business organisation. All such information from any source is to be regarded as strictly confidential. Information may only be divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the Federation's policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data.
Responsibilities
As a federation, we promote, support, and facilitate the collaboration of GPs and their workforce throughout our city. Examples of our work to date include developing networks whereby tasks and resources can be shared, empowering frontline practice staff to become active sign posters for their patient communities, and launching GP+ (part of the City Wide Services) the city's first ever evening and weekend GP service.

The role is for 25 hours per week. All staff must demonstrate flexibility and share responsibility for providing cover when necessary, including for colleagues who may be absent due to holidays or illness. This flexibility is a mandatory requirement of the role.
