Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Reception Manager with experience in a GP surgery, with a commitment to upholding high standards of patient care.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth functioning of our clinic's reception and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient experiences in a GP setting.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

1. Reception Management:

  • Supervise reception staff to ensure a welcoming and efficient front desk environment.
  • Oversee patient appointment scheduling, check-in/out procedures, and phone call management.
  • Address any issues or concerns raised by patients or visitors in a timely and professional manner.

2. Administrative Operations:

  • Develop and implement streamlined administrative procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Utilize EMIS for running reports and managing patient records.
  • Utilize phone systems for efficient communication and coordination.
  • Manage office supplies, equipment maintenance, and facilities to support daily clinic operations.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and data management, including patient records and administrative documents.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in reception and administrative roles, preferably in a GP surgery or healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and empower a team.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in office software, EMIS, and phone systems.
