The firm's Housebuilding & Strategic Land team is one of the largest and most reputable in the UK, backed by a comprehensive range of specialist teams, including planning, plot sales, construction, environmental, agricultural, litigation, and tax.

Our client is proud to work with major players in the residential development and strategic land sectors. Their success includes recent panel wins with national housebuilders and a strong track record in helping clients navigate complex and high-value projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act for housebuilders, developers, housing associations, landowners, and local authorities across a broad range of residential development and strategic land matters.
  2. Manage a variety of real estate transactions, including conditional/unconditional contracts, options, affordable housing transactions, infrastructure agreements, deeds of easement, back-to-back sales, site assembly, and service charge/management agreements.
  3. Gain exposure to more complex transactions, such as strategic land agreements, hybrid agreements, collaboration agreements, land pooling, building licenses, and mixed-use schemes.
  4. Build and maintain strong client relationships and establish a network with residential development land agents.
  5. Advise clients on VAT and SDLT issues and affordable housing transactions.
  6. Contribute to business development initiatives and support the firm's growth strategy.

About You:

  1. 1-5 years PQE with experience gained from a reputable regional or city law firm.
  2. Solid understanding of residential development law, including strategic land and affordable housing matters.
  3. Proven ability to manage client relationships and business development opportunities.
  4. Technical proficiency in real estate transactions and a good understanding of VAT and SDLT issues.
  5. Strong ambition to progress your career in residential development law within a supportive and growing team.
  6. A team player with a client-focused approach and excellent interpersonal skills.

Why Join Our Client?

As part of this prestigious law firm, you will have the opportunity to work within one of the largest and most successful residential development teams in the UK.
