Senior Associate or Principal Associate - Property Litigation | National Law Firm | Birmingham/Hybrid
BCL is excited to be recruiting a highly skilled Senior Associate Property Litigation Solicitor to join its dynamic and growing team in either Birmingham or Nottingham. This full-time, permanent role offers flexible and agile working options, including the ability to work from home up to three days a week. The Role
As a Senior Associate in Property Litigation, you would:
- Provide expert legal advice on property litigation matters, working with a broad range of clients across the private, public, and third sectors.
- Handle cases involving dispute resolution, including negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation, with a focus on delivering cost-effective solutions.
- Manage your own caseload, with responsibility for a number of client relationships.
- Work closely with senior members of the team, supervising and supporting more junior lawyers and team members.
- Contribute to business development activities, such as presenting seminars, writing articles, and updating marketing materials.
- Ensure that you meet your budgeted hours and fees while delivering exceptional client service.
- Take on any other duties as required, in line with your level and role within the firm.

- Managing your own caseload and client relationships.
- Supervising junior lawyers and team members, alongside senior team members and partners.
- Contributing to marketing efforts such as seminars, writing reports, and updating literature to support the firm's sectors.
- Achieving your budgeted hours and fees for the year.
- Providing an exceptional client service.
- Undertaking other duties as required, commensurate with the level of the post.
What technical skills are required for someone to be successful and enjoy the role?
- Excellent technical skills: able to provide clear, concise, and commercially relevant solutions, explaining and advising on complex areas of property litigation.
- A keen interest in personal development and taking advantage of training opportunities, staying up-to-date with legal issues, reports, and government policy.
- Strong IT and keyboard skills, comfortable with digital dictation, electronic time recording, and case management systems.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
