BCL Legal is excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Associate to join a highly regarded real estate finance team. This role offers the chance to work with a dynamic team combining banking, structured finance, debt restructuring, and real estate expertise, delivering top-tier advice on complex real estate investment, development, and financing transactions across multiple jurisdictions.

The Role:

As a Senior Associate in the Real Estate Finance Team, you will:
* Advise banks, financial institutions, and a diverse range of borrowers and sponsors on property funding matters, including investment and development finance across all real estate asset classes.
* Negotiate, review, and settle loan agreements, debentures, mortgages, guarantees, and deeds of priority and subordination.
* Manage deferred consideration and overage charges, ensuring compliance with legal and commercial requirements.
* Review and draft reports on title and certificates on title.
* Draft board minutes and corporate approvals, ensuring all relevant procedures are followed.
* Coordinate conditions precedent to drawdown, liaising closely with property and construction colleagues to ensure smooth transactions.

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:
* Strong experience in real estate finance, with expertise in negotiating and structuring property-related funding transactions.
* A deep understanding of investment and development finance across a range of asset classes.
* Excellent technical skills in reviewing and drafting complex legal documents, including loan agreements and security arrangements.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external clients.
* A keen eye for detail and a practical approach to managing complex, high-value transactions.
