Property (Energy & Infrastructure) Legal Director | 10+ PQE | International Law Firm | Birmingham


BCL Legal is excited to be working with a leading global law firm in the search for a Senior Property Lawyer to join their market-leading Energy & Infrastructure Property team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Legal Director with over 10 years' PQE to take on a senior fee-earning role, contributing to the growth of the firm's expanding Property Group. The position is based in Birmingham, with flexible working options available.


The Role

As a Senior Property Lawyer, you will be a key member of the Energy & Infrastructure Property team, advising clients on the property aspects of major energy and infrastructure projects. The role will involve:


  1. Advising on high-profile transactions across various sectors, including offshore wind, solar, hydrogen, carbon capture, battery storage, and nuclear energy.
  2. Managing complex property issues for large-scale infrastructure projects, such as road, rail, and flood defence schemes.
  3. Working closely with landowners, developers, funders, and investors on key energy projects, including major offshore wind farms and EV charging infrastructure.
  4. Leading client relationships and business development efforts, with opportunities to manage a team and mentor junior members.
  5. Taking on leadership responsibilities, including leading client review meetings, developing new services, and contributing to the promotion and recruitment processes.

About You

To be successful in your application for this Senior Property Lawyer role, you will:


  1. Be qualified in England & Wales with over 10 years' PQE, specialising in energy and infrastructure property work.
  2. Possess a strong track record in managing complex property transactions within the energy and/or infrastructure sectors.
  3. Demonstrate excellent technical expertise, along with commercial awareness and a client-focused approach.
  4. Be an experienced leader, capable of managing teams, nurturing client relationships, and driving business development.
  5. Have a passion for energy and infrastructure projects, with a particular interest in the UK's renewable energy sector.
