Our client based in Waltham Cross is seeking a skilled Reach Truck Driver to join their team in a dynamic warehouse environment on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring the timely shipping and receiving of goods.

Responsibilities

1. Operate reach truck to load and unload materials from lorries and storage areas.
2. Handle materials with care to prevent damage during transport.
3. Keep the warehouse and yard safe and tidy.
4. Stock rotation.
5. Safe storage of product.
6. Perform regular inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
7. Collaborate with team members to optimise warehouse processes and improve efficiency.
8. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment within the warehouse environment.
9. Conduct heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.

Candidate Requirements

1. At least 3 years' experience operating Reach Truck.
2. Valid Reach truck certificate is essential (we cannot accept in-house certificate).
3. Counterbalance forklift licence is a bonus.
4. Experience working to heights of 10 meters +.
5. Proven experience in materials handling within a warehouse.
6. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) safely and effectively.
7. Basic maths skills for inventory tracking and reporting purposes.
8. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
9. A proactive approach to safety and a commitment to following established procedures.

Working Monday to Friday, 40hrs a week. Core hours are 7.30am-4.30pm, but you should be flexible between 6am-6pm as the start and finish time may vary depending on the volume of work required.

Salary £27,500/pa (4% increase in April).
