The SU Logistics Team co-ordinate the sourcing of materials, the manufacture of finished goods and the delivery to our customers, as well as holding responsibility for the material and finished goods inventory.
As part of the Supply process the purpose of this role is to cost-effectively ensure 100% availability of materials to the production lines to ensure Customer Service whilst balancing cost and inventory.
RESPONSIBILITIES
OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures that all materials are available to meet agreed production plans whilst maintaining stocks within agreed company targets.
Routinely prepares delivery schedule (call-offs), considering all material guidelines, supplier constraints and plan requirements.
Examines material schedules, reviews orders and call-offs, and brings any issues to the attention of the Demand Planner/Scheduler.
Manages the delivery schedule and negotiates short notice/urgent requirements with Suppliers, Warehouse and Security.
Proactively negotiates, observe and maintains information flow between suppliers and Sourcing Unit personnel to maintain a responsive supply chain.
Adherence to the weekly IVMI (Internal Vendor Managed Inventory) process, identify improvement areas.
Work closely with suppliers and obsolete planner to ensure minimal obsolete.
Responsible for clearing USCC DCIW Purchase order queries (invoicing and stock queries)
Keeps suppliers regularly informed about delists and removing stock build targets to avoid obsolete materials after last productions.

VR/OR – Ensure material availability to support volume output reliability of the SU.
Cost – Minimize OLE impacts to site and minimize business waste.
Quality – Ensure product changes happen in a coordinated manner to avoid quality issues.
