Job summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic Radiographer to join our team as the Imaging Workforce Transformation Lead for Whipps Cross Hospital.

This role is responsible for oversight and delivery of an exciting programme of workforce transformation within the Imaging Department at Whipps Cross Hospital. In partnership with the other Barts Health sites and colleagues from across North East London the postholder will plan and deliver workforce projects in line with local and regional strategic aims, helping to move the Whipps Cross Imaging Team towards a safe and sustainable staffing model across all modalities and staff groups. They will also provide line management for the Reporting Radiographer workforce.

By working closely with the Imaging General Manager, Clinical Director, Imaging Site lead and Governance Lead; the post holder will also have an opportunity to contribute to the strategic planning and development of the service in order to build and maintain key relationships with a variety of stakeholders including senior managers and clinicians throughout the Trust, and with other appropriate external organisations and bodies, and in particular patients and carers.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be committed to providing and developing a high quality Imaging service. In addition, they should have good organisational skills and demonstrate the ability to prioritise their workload.

This is a particularly exciting time to work at Whipps Cross Hospital as we strengthen our clinical leadership within the service with newly established Clinical Lead Radiographer posts for each modality and as the hospital undergoes redevelopment meaning the successful candidate has the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of the new hospital.
