An established industry player is seeking a part-time Radiographic Aide to join their dedicated Radiology team. This role involves rotating through multiple hospitals and assisting in various imaging procedures, including X-ray, MRI, and CT scans. We are looking for a part time radiographic aide who will rotate through Warwick, Stratford and Leamington Hospital. The job will include weekend and Bank Holiday working on a rotational basis.
In this role you will work as part of our friendly Radiology team, assisting the Radiology Consultants, Sonographers and Radiographers; caring for patients undergoing radiology imaging procedures. Radiographic aides are fundamental to the smooth running of the radiology department supporting clinical activities in all modalities including CT, MR, Ultrasound and fluoroscopy.
This role involves assisting patients in preparation and during their imaging procedures, helping them to change, preparing and cleaning rooms, organising patient lists and removing cannulas. You will rotate through the all modalities in the Radiology department including X-ray, MRI, CT, Ultrasound and Interventional Radiology and will work closely with Radiologists, radiographers, nurses and sonographers.
You need to be able to work in a team environment and be able to work under pressure. You will need to be a good communicator as you will have to liaise with a variety of staff and patients. You should also have good telephone skills as you must be able to take messages accurately. Previous experience in a healthcare environment is desirable.
The post commences as a Band 2 and following training and successful assessment of competencies will be uplifted to Band 3.
