Job Title: R&D Senior Coordinator

Business Function: R&D

Location: Port Sunlight R&D


JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a R&D Senior Coordinator focusing on FEH New Formats & EU ASA/AMA, to contribute to the Home Care Fabric Enhancers strategy within the European R&D Business Unit. Drive key programs for new formats (Boosters, Ancillaries & Botanical conditioners) within brands of Comfort, Coccolino, Cajoline and Robijn by end-to-end delivery of initiatives involving innovations, renovations, margin improvement initiatives and net-sales protection projects (e.g. supply/volume resilience initiatives). This role is ideal for someone passionate about being a part of transforming the laundry category in Europe with products that offer new benefits, solve real pain points, and ultimately grow the margins of the category.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to collaborate with regional and global fabric enhancers cross-functional teams to implement key technologies and support supply chain and factory-related projects from an R&D perspective.
  • Analyze the impact of new or alternative raw materials and formulation properties on product stability, performance, and factory setups.
  • Collaborate with P&I, quality, and factory teams to execute planned and unplanned initiatives.
  • Work with Global R&D teams on the Technology funnel, ensuring technical dossiers and data packages are ready for implementation, including regulatory and SEAC properties.
  • Manage portfolio changes across EU markets and interface with marketing requirements such as different claims for different markets, or formulation changes where necessary.
  • Lead cross-functional communication within technical communities to keep senior stakeholders informed about changes and innovations.
  • Work with digital teams to generate data for traceability and provide insights on performance/cost models.
  • Lead the R&D BU strategy for ASA AMA (alternative suppliers, alternative materials) and cost-saving initiatives (5S).
  • Manage the product data journey for innovation projects and changes resulting from activities like 5S/E2E/Resilience/Product superiority changes and regulatory updates to ensure traceability and compliance. This includes managing product information in digital systems like LIMS, SAP PLM, Pharos, SDS/PCN, Blue, and CU-PIRD.
  • Partner with quality and supply chain teams for day-to-day factory support.

ALL ABOUT YOU

  • Degree in Chemistry or other physical sciences such as Chemical Engineering.
  • Strong experience with PLM, especially in specification management.
  • Ability to understand PFDs, ProMPTs, etc. as a need to have and the ability to create PFDs/ProMPTs would be a nice to have.
  • Proficiency in Excel (Pivot tables, data assessment, etc.).
  • Experience with home-care products, especially structured liquids is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of Analytical & Measurement Science.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
