Quantity Surveyor - Permanent - Main Contractor - Birmingham - Utilities Schemes - Civil Engineering

Your new company
You will be joining a well-established utilities contractor based in the Birmingham area. This multi-accredited organisation specialises in delivering infrastructure solutions across the gas, water and power sectors, and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. With an ongoing series of contracts as well as a major framework win, they are looking to onboard a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be based full-time out of their Birmingham office and be responsible for, but not limited to:

  1. Producing and providing accurate forecasts of project costs to completion/final value
  2. Managing subcontractor accounts
  3. Liaising with clients and other key project stakeholders
  4. Monitoring cash flow and valuation plans
  5. Managing subcontractor tender processes
  6. Providing accurate reports of costs and values on the projects on a weekly basis.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:

  1. Experience utilising NEC3 and/or NEC4 forms of contract, ideally in the utilities industry
  2. Strong negotiation and organisational skills
  3. A proactive work ethic and be able to liaise with key project stakeholders of all levels
  4. Full UK driving licence.
