Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a highly reputable and forward-thinking residential developer. The Role:
As Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for multiple housing developments from inception through to final accounts. Working closely with the wider commercial and operational teams, you will play a vital role in ensuring developments are delivered efficiently, within budget, and to the highest standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Managing budgets and forecasts for residential developments
  2. Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
  3. Procuring subcontractors and materials
  4. Managing subcontractor payments and valuations
  5. Supporting the wider team with commercial decision-making
  6. Ensuring compliance with contractual and financial procedures
  7. Preparing reports for internal stakeholders

What We're Looking For:

  1. Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the housebuilding or residential construction sector
  2. Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  4. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  5. A proactive and team-focused attitude
  6. Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (preferred)
