What you’ll be doing
As the Quantity Surveyor, reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our construction projects by taking responsibility for commercial management of projects from viability procurement, through to delivery and completion. You’ll use your commercial and procurement experience to focus on budget management, supply chain performance and risk management, thus, resulting in providing quality development projects we can be proud of.
You will significantly contribute to value management, value engineering studies and provide cost advice. You will lead on all sub-contractor supply chain procurement matters at project level and assist with the identification and assessment of sub-contractors.

You’ll demonstrate your ability to successfully deliver customer-focused services in a complex and challenging environment. With excellent project management skills, you’ll work in an organised and methodical manner while multitasking efficiently. Proactive and determined, you’ll be capable of meeting tight deadlines, have a keen eye for detail, and maintain a pleasant, personable demeanor, thriving in a collaborative team environment.
You’ll bring strong procurement and administrative expertise, with substantial experience in construction procurement and proficiency in COINs software. Your IT skills, combined with first-rate communication and negotiation abilities, will enable you to collaborate effectively with suppliers and colleagues.
Additionally, you’ll demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and adapt quickly to change. As a team player, you’ll support both team and corporate objectives, while having the confidence to challenge the status quo, continuously improve, and learn along the way.
When and where you'll be doing it
Your office base will be at The Hub at Mulberry Park in Bath but with flexibility to work from home 2 days a week. You will be required to attend site meetings on sites which are located within approx. 1 hour from Bath so a driving license and your own car is essential.
