Job description

Capita Pensions Solutions are looking for a Quality Adviser to work as part of a team, ensuring that a consistent, efficient and effective approach is taken to quality management across the business through the embedding of the Quality Management System and Integrated Management System.

You will provide an added value internal quality audit function to promote adherence to relevant ISO/BS standards, AAF, Investors in People Framework, company policy/procedures and the Treating Customers Fairly initiative.

Job Description

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting the Head of Quality to effectively arrange and facilitate internal and external audits, including monitoring the completion of audits against audit schedule and highlighting to the Quality Manager where extra resource/planning may be needed
  • Planning and organising internal audits, writing reports, peer reviewing reports, in line with SLAs and as required by senior management, using risk based approach, reporting findings, areas of good practice and improvement opportunities
  • Monitoring the close-out of corrective actions to ensure completion in a timely manner and the prevention of repeat observations/ non-conformities across the business
  • Assisting the Head of Quality with implementation of new ISO/BS standards and revised versions of standards, when issued
  • Reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and controls and make suggestions to continually enhance service delivery, improve process and reduce potential complaints and business risk
  • Monitoring and reporting on Quality data as required by the business

What we’re looking for:

  • Compliance and auditing experience are essential. However, if you have worked in the Pensions industry and understand the schemes we will also consider this and train and develop the compliance and auditing skills
  • A working understanding of the ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard and its requirements
  • A solid standard of English and written communication skills to produce coherent audit and review reports
  • Aptitude for analysis to ensure effective audits including investigation of the root cause of any issues
