Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Quality Support Technician for an exciting new opportunity based in the Crewe area of Cheshire. In this role you will be responsible for investigating issues identified from warranty claims and customer in use quality issues, taking ownership of any issues identified, providing a rapid response to any quality issues, determining root cause and then initial liaison with component and part suppliers to discuss engineering changes and improvements.

Quality concern updates will be managed via a bespoke concern management system, the Quality Technician will also update customer specific systems to demonstrate concern status and progress. Following on from the supplier discussions, the Quality Technician will be responsible for managing resolution of the quality issue, robust problem resolution actions and closure of the issue to 8D.

The successful Quality Technician will be comfortable in customer facing roles and will be able to represent the team in all quality forums, from initial investigation to senior management and engineering follow up meetings and feeding back to the supplier network.

Requirements

Applicants should have previous experience in a similar Quality role, be computer literate, be experienced in the use of MRP type systems and be able to communicate at all levels.

In return, the successful candidate will be rewarded with a basic hourly rate of £19.54 per hour PAYE. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic DBS Criminal Record Check.
