Company Overview - Quality Manager (Aerospace)
Our Client are currently looking for a Quality Manager to join their highly valued team on a full-time basis.
As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality management system within the aerospace division, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company-specific quality protocols. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement, ensuring product excellence, and fostering a culture of quality throughout all phases of the product lifecycle.

Quality Manager (Aerospace) Role and Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100/AS9120, ISO 9001).
2. Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
3. Oversee quality control and quality assurance activities across all production stages, ensuring products meet design specifications and safety standards.
4. Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues effectively.
5. Work closely with engineering, production, and procurement teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into the manufacturing process.
6. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Six Sigma, Lean, or Kaizen to optimise processes and enhance product quality.
7. Provide training and mentorship to staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
8. Prepare and present detailed quality reports and metrics to senior management, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
9. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the highest quality standards in materials and components.

Quality Manager (Aerospace) Skills and Experience:

1. Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in a technical or engineering subject
2. Proven experience as a Quality Manager. This will preferably be within the Aerospace/Defence or Automotive Industry
3. In-depth knowledge of aerospace quality standards (AS9100/ AS9120, ISO 9001, etc.) and regulatory requirements.
4. Strong understanding of quality control tools and techniques (e.g., FMEA, SPC, PPAP, Root Cause Analysis, etc.).
5. Experience with audits, non-conformance management, and CAPA processes.
6. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
7. Proficient in quality management software and tools.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
