Quality Manager

Job Description

The company is a UK-wide manufacturing company based in Leicester, with over 80 years' experience of supplying tier one components into the automotive industry. After securing significant investments and a multi-million-pound order with a key customer, the company is seeking to rapidly expand their team to fulfill various projects and is looking for a Quality Manager to help maintain the quality of their products and management systems.

The role

A Quality Manager is now required to join the team on a permanent basis to lead all aspects of quality control and assurance. You will take responsibility for:

1. Quality management of existing management systems including ISO 9001 & IATF16949
2. Leading efforts to identify areas for improvement in the manufacturing process and implementing strategies to enhance overall product quality and operational efficiency
3. Monitoring customer and supplier feedback and addressing any quality-related concerns or issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain strong client relationships
4. Collaborating with other departments such as engineering, production, and supply chain management to improve processes, resolve quality-related issues, and drive overall operational excellence
5. Overseeing the introduction of new products
6. Based on business goals, designing and implementing training to further develop staff

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

1. Previous experience managing quality management systems autonomously within a manufacturing setting
2. Proficient understanding of ISO 9001 & IATF16949
3. Experience using 8D, PPAP, APQP, SPC, and FMEA
4. Excellent Excel and data analysis skills
5. You may be an experienced Quality Manager or a Senior Quality Engineer with a passion for quality systems and looking for a step up into management

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

1. Internal Auditor of ISO 9001, IATF16949 or both
