Quality Manager

MERITUS are recruiting for a Quality Manager to join our client in a permanent deal within the wider aviation industry. PLEASE NOTE: This is a fast moving, matrix organisation with a large quality team of 7 / 8 engineers to support. The role is from an operational point of view; however, you will be expected to get involved in hands-on quality tasks.

QUALITY MANAGER - UP TO £60,000 - GREATER BLACKBURN - AEROSPACE/DEFENCE EXPERIENCE - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS

We are looking for a skilled Quality Manager to join a leading aerospace company. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to oversee quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage quality assurance processes within the aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Develop and implement quality management systems in line with industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.).
• Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues.
• Oversee the non-conformance and corrective action processes.
• Manage a team of quality control inspectors and engineers, providing training and development as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aerospace quality standards and regulations.

Essential Experience & Skills:

• Proven experience in a quality management role within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and aerospace standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.).
• Strong experience in conducting audits and managing non-conformance processes.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with different departments.
• A background in engineering or a related technical field would be advantageous.
