Job description

We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team in a permanent role. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in precision engineering inspection, who is confident using both handheld measuring tools and CMM machines. The position is based in Chorley.


Quality Inspector (CMM) Job Overview

  • Performing first-off, in-process, and final inspection of machined components
  • Interpreting and inspecting parts against engineering drawings and specifications
  • Using handheld inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges
  • Operating and programming CMM machines (Coordinate Measuring Machines)
  • Accurately recording inspection results and reporting non-conformances
  • Supporting continuous improvement and quality control processes

Quality Inspector (CMM) Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and tolerances
  • Skilled in using manual measuring equipment and CMM operation/programming
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
