Quality Inspector - 12 month contract

Salary: £35ph + overtime

Location: Winsford

My client is a global defence and aerospace leader, and due to new business contacts they seek a Quality Inspector to join their team on an initial 12 month contract. Fundamentally, the Quality Inspectors role is to ensure that external suppliers are positioned to meet all regulatory, customer and contractual requirements.

As a Quality Inspector you will be doing:

  • Provide oversight and governance of nominated suppliers.
  • Establish quality requirements.
  • Identify and take appropriate action when suppliers do not meet quality related requirements.
  • Ensure problem solving and corrective action taken by suppliers is robust.
  • Provide input to Project Management reviews as required.
  • Actively engaged in all FAIR process reviews.

Experience and skillset - Quality Inspector

  • Ideally degree qualified in a relevant Quality/Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Understanding of applicable Regulatory and Industry Codes and Standards.
  • Professional courage to highlight areas of concern and risk.
  • Able to summarise complex technical issues to suit different audiences.
  • Proven track record of successful problem solving.
