Contek are looking for experienced or junior Quality Inspectors to join an established and growing company in Nottingham. This company has been in business for over 20 years and due to growth are looking for their next Inspector to join their team.

To be a successful candidate for this position, you must have some inspection experience working in a manufacturing environment such as machining, fabrication or similar environments.

Responsibilities:

1. Inspection of components using equipment such as Verniers, Calipers, Height Gauges, Shadowgraphs etc.
2. Using CMM's, ideally Faro Arm (We're happy to consider applicants that have used different CMM's; the ability to use a CMM is not essential as training can be provided).
3. Working from technical drawings.
4. Identify non-conformances, report and address with the production team.
5. First off and in process inspection.
6. Maintain accurate records of inspection.
7. Updating their ISO manual.

Experience:

1. Inspection experience required in a manufacturing environment such as machining, fabrication or similar.
2. Proficiency in using measuring instruments.
3. Ideally CMM trained but training can be provided.
4. Good communication.
5. Ability to work as a team or individually.
6. Familiar with ISO9001 standards.
7. Good understanding of engineering drawings.
8. Ideally served an Apprenticeship or having a solid engineering foundation.

Hours: (38hrs - 4 day week)
Monday to Thursday
07:00 - 17:00

Fridays - available for Overtime at 1.5x the hourly rate.
