Job description

Quality Inspector required to join a well-established Manufacturing company based in the Milton Keynes area, that specialise in supplying service for a range of industries including railway, automotive, aerospace, construction, MOD & security, industrial, marine and power.

Quality Inspector Job Overview

Carry out quality assessment measurements of all the products ready to be shipped and incoming raw materials, including metrological and visual assessment.
Operate the CMM, experience with Aberlink software ideal, but experience with PC-DMIS is an advantage.
Take a thorough look at the plans, specifications, and drawings to understand the product requirements.
Reject all the incoming raw materials which fail to meet quality expectations and report the issue promptly.
Resolving quality-related issues and adhering to deadlines.
Assist the QM in designing an efficient quality system and protocols which can be used across all company needs.
Prepare documentation of the inspection process, which includes detailed reports and performance records.
Recommend improvement measures to the production process to ensure quality control standards are met.
Guide the production team about the quality control issues to enhance the quality of the product.
Assist the Head of Quality with KPI data and monitor customer satisfaction levels.
Monitor the production phases at various levels.

Quality Inspector Job Requirements

Previous experience within a Quality inspector position or similar would be advantageous.
The ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances.
A quality control inspector should be vigilant enough to identify the variances in products to meet the specific standards.
The quality control inspectors should possess strong knowledge of the type of equipment and computer programs used adhering to the safety guidelines of the organization.

Quality Inspector Salary & Benefits

Full time - Permanent position
Monday to Friday
8am - 5pm Monday to Thurs and on Friday its 8am - 2pm
Salary - £15 - £16 per hour
33 days holiday including BH
