Job Description

To inspect manufactured components and materials to drawing requirements and specifications. You will liaise with other departments to maximise output on site.

Client Details: A well-established manufacturer in the Leeds area, they are looking to add a Quality Inspector to their team.

Description:

  1. Performing final & inter-stage dimensional inspections and supporting the requirements for documenting and maintaining records associated with these activities.
  2. Review and verify route cards, process instructions, engineering drawings and inspection procedures to determine dimensions and tolerances of components.
  3. Liaise with client inspectors as and when required.
  4. Perform intermediate and final dimensional inspections including documenting and maintaining records associated with inspection.
  5. Verification of process instructions, engineering drawings and inspection procedures.
  6. Inspection of parts to include the production and control of documents for materials processes and parts.
  7. Assist in the development and control of necessary documentation, analyse & report on materials, processes and products.
  8. Calibration and recording of measuring equipment.
  9. Liaise with other departments to maximise output.

Profile:

  1. Basic knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 & AS9100 requirements.
  2. Basic knowledge of all relevant British standards.
  3. Substantial experience of reading and understanding engineering drawings and associated engineering documentation.
  4. Competent user of measuring equipment, e.g. Verniers, Micrometers, CMM's and vision systems.
  5. Computer literate.
  6. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  7. Able to work on your own initiative.
  8. Flexible attitude to work.

Job Offer:

Salary ranging between £30k and £33k.

Shift Pattern: 6am-2pm (Monday - Friday) and 2pm-12am (Monday - Thursday) - Rotates Weekly.
