Quality Inspector sought by successful manufacturing business investing heavily in plant and people. The role entails the inspection of castings and machined items.
Handling Quality matters relating to the receipt and inspection of in-house manufactured and purchased goods, the Quality Inspector will use Quality Control procedures to ensure all goods meet the required criteria and assist the Quality Manager with the management of QMS and EMS.
The Quality Inspector will undertake internal Audits and complete Corrective Action Reports and Non Conformance Reports.
Ideally experienced in a precision engineering environment, you are competent in the use of measuring equipment such as verniers, callipers, micrometers and height gauges to tolerances of a micron.
The Quality Inspector should ideally have a working knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS and castings/fabrications and some formal training in internal auditing and QMS processes. You should have some experience in writing reports and creating QMS documents. Knowledge of load testing advantageous.
You are a friendly, positive individual who forms effective working relationships with colleagues. Attention to detail is in your nature and you are a good communicator, both written and spoken.
