Qualifications

Quality Inspector
Hailsham, East Sussex

Main duties/responsibilities of the role:

Essential skills and experience

  • Experience working to ISO 9001.
  • At least 3 years experience working in a machine shop or similar manufacturing environment and possess a good understanding of Quality and Process management tools and methodology. Examples including 5S/6S, flowcharts, VSM, Kaizen, Pareto, QCPC, SPC, AQL, FMEA, 8D, Cause & Effect, Ishikawa, 5 whys etc.
  • Experience of using CMM or Faro Arm devices and proficient with a range of metrology equipment typically used in machine shop environments.
  • Able to read and understand technical drawings and engineering specifications.

Desirable skills and experience

  • Knowledge or experience of welding and fabrication processes would be beneficial.
  • Previous experience of working in the vacuum industry would be advantageous.

Qualified to BTech/HNC/HND level in a Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing discipline.

  • Good at listening, providing input and implementing decisions.
  • Working in teams to create commercial outcomes and provide customer solutions.
