Welding Inspector

Welding Inspector Salary: £15-16.50ph

Location: Ferndown

Welding Inspector Role & Responsibilities

1. Inspect welds and fabricated components to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
2. Develop flat patterns for sheet metal components before folding, ensuring accurate dimensions and minimal material waste.
3. Have a strong understanding of bend allowances of various materials.
4. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to verify compliance with project requirements.
5. Have at least 3 years experience as a Welding Inspector.
6. Work closely with fabricators and welders to guide best practices and quality improvements.
7. Maintain detailed inspection records and report any defects or non-conformances.
8. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer specifications.
9. Liaise with the engineering team to improve processes and resolve technical issues.
10. Check material certifications and traceability documentation to verify compliance.
11. Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency in the workshop.
