Quality Engineer required for a manufacturer of fasteners based in Broughton Astley. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established company as a Quality Engineer with plenty of progression opportunities moving forward. The successful candidate will have ISO9001 experience ideally within fasteners or a similar environment.

Quality Engineer - Fasteners Position Overview

To work with the Quality Manager and Quality Inspector to ensure that the company is able to meet the QA objectives, which entail the drive for continuous improvement within the framework of ISO 9001. This includes taking receipt of quality products and subsequently delivering these products right first time to our customers. These objectives will necessitate dealing directly with both suppliers and customers and will also require working interdepartmentally within the company.

Quality Engineer - Fasteners Position Requirements

1. Must have worked in an ISO 9001 approved manufacturing company, preferably ISO16949.
2. Experience with threaded fasteners preferred.
3. Understanding of process capability, Cp & Cpk.
4. Knowledge of core tools e.g. SPC, PPAP, MSA, FMEA.
5. Knowledge of quality tools in the resolution of quality concerns.
6. Experience in internal auditing, qualification preferred.
7. Involvement in ISO 9001 & customer audits.
8. Able to use basic measuring equipment such as micrometer, electronic caliper (vernier caliper), shadowgraph, thread ring & plug gauges.
9. Computer (Excel & Word) literate.
10. Experience in data analysis.
11. Experience dealing directly with both customers and suppliers.

Quality Engineer - Fasteners Position Remuneration

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Hours: 8:00 - 17:00 (1 Hour Lunch) 16:00 finish Fridays.

Holiday: 20 days plus Bank Holidays.
