Quality Engineer

W Talent is supporting a growing manufacturing business in Ripley, Derbyshire, that values quality, continuous improvement, and employee development. Due to recent investment, our client is seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer to join their expanding onsite engineering team.

About the Role

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring products meet the highest industry standards. You will work closely with production, engineering, and suppliers to enhance processes, resolve quality issues, and maintain compliance with industry regulations. This days-based role is ideal for individuals with 1-3 years' experience in quality inspection, quality assurance, or an engineering environment who are looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure consistent product standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive action initiatives (CAPA).
• Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other industry regulations.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to drive quality improvements.
• Develop and refine inspection processes and manage non-conformance investigations.

Key Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should ideally have 1-3 years' experience in a quality technician, inspection, or quality engineering role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Knowledge and Experience

• Some knowledge of quality assurance methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5Why, and FMEA.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and use quality inspection equipment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
