QC Engineer

As a QC Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring product integrity by adhering to quality specifications, standards, goals, and objectives. You'll support the conformity of the quality management system. Here are the main duties and responsibilities:

  1. Perform quality inspections on critical customer-specific parts.
  2. Handle rejected or defective materials and returns, including segregating and quarantining non-conforming products as needed and liaising with suppliers and customers.
  3. Address non-conformances promptly.
  4. Report quality metrics related to these issues.
  5. Investigate customer complaints, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  6. Finalize the quality release of products by checking document revisions, ensuring proper documentation practices, and verifying test results.
  7. Drive continuous improvements across the organization.
  8. Write reports, including First Article Inspection (FAI) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) reports.

Qualifications:

  1. Degree-level education in engineering, life sciences, or equivalent industry experience.

Skills and Experience:

  1. Knowledge of MRP/Q Pulse (training provided).
  2. Awareness of IPC Standards and/or experience of PCB inspection.
  3. Familiarity with quality standards (BS EN 9100/9001).
  4. Enthusiastic self-starter with attention to detail and task completion abilities.
  5. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Internal auditing experience (advantageous but not essential).
  7. Good timekeeping and ability to work a 2-shift rotation.
  8. Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-tech production environment.
  9. Team player contributing to departmental output.
  10. Strong workmanship and attention to detail.
  11. Self-disciplined and able to work independently.
  12. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  13. Effective communication skills.

Experience:

  1. Previous experience in electronic manufacturing or a manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential; full training provided).
