Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering with our client - a well-established engineering business based in Lanarkshire providing high-quality engineering solutions to a variety of industries including renewables and Oil & Gas sector. They are currently looking for an experienced and proactive Quality Engineer to join the team.

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving the company’s quality management system, leading internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be a hands-on individual, actively supporting all quality functions across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  2. Control and manage all quality-related documentation, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
  3. Prepare and manage documentation and coordinate necessary actions.
  4. Primary quality contact for both internal teams and external customers.
  5. Support on-site manufacturing & Fabrication teams with hands-on quality control and assurance activities.
  6. Investigate and resolve quality issues and provide corrective and preventive actions.
  7. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  8. Maintain compliance with ISO standards and other relevant industry regulations.
  9. Train and support staff on quality processes, procedures, and best practices.

About You

  1. Proven experience in a Quality Engineer role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  2. Strong understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent). Understanding of BS EN ISO3834-2 would be advantageous.
  3. Experience leading and supporting audits (internal, customer, and regulatory).
  4. Hands-on approach to quality management.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement corrective actions.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams and with customers.
  7. Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and techniques.
  8. Ability to work independently and take initiative to drive improvements.
