Quality Engineer

Are you passionate about quality excellence in a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment? We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team and help ensure our aircraft engine components meet the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.

As a Quality Engineer, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and improving the Quality Management Systems while supporting operations across the business. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact in a global aerospace manufacturing company committed to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct internal and external audits (Systems, Supplier & Product) and maintain a rolling audit plan
2. Lead problem investigations to identify and correct non-conformances
3. Review supplier concessions, production permits, and First Article Inspection Reports
4. Analyse quality data to identify trends, potential risks, and improvement opportunities
5. Generate and manage key quality metrics including Escapes, Scrap, Rework, and Right First Time
6. Create and manage the internal audit plan, ensuring all auditors are properly trained
7. Update quality procedures and work instructions within the Quality Management System
8. Support shop floor personnel as a quality subject matter expert
9. Participate in business improvement activities and process improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

1. Experience in aerospace/aviation manufacturing or equivalent technical background
2. Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience
3. Strong knowledge of quality and process standards relevant to aerospace manufacturing
4. Proven auditing skills and experience
5. Data-driven problem-solving capabilities
6. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
7. Commitment to workplace safety and environmental health
8. Track record of delivering measurable results
