An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to join their dynamic team in Mitcham. Our client is a global supplier to the Composite & Coating Industry with 19 manufacturing sites and 5 technology centres in 12 countries. The company is one of the world's largest suppliers of unsaturated polyester resins for composites and a leading supplier of coating resins for a wide variety of markets and applications.
Due to continued success, the company is seeking a Quality Control Technician. This position is responsible for quality control testing of raw materials and finished goods to final product specifications, and preparation of COA's. In support of the ISO program, the QC technician performs instrument and solution calibrations and maintains calibration, product and raw material quality records.
The lab technician participates in the manufacturing process and makes timely entries of quality data into SAP, ensuring minimal interruption in processing flow. The QC technician is a member of a team that works rotating schedules that cover the plant 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, with overtime if the week's actual working hours are more than 38 hours. The lab technician is knowledgeable about the properties and hazards of the chemicals, products, and test methods they perform and keeps the lab clean and orderly to maximize safety.
