Qualification in Food Science or equivalent

We are seeking a QC Officer to provide support in the maintenance of our quality systems and contribute to the overall quality control of the business.

We encourage Machine Operators in food manufacturing seeking to take the next step in a career in the Quality field.

YOUR SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Well versed in Excel and database management skills
Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
A qualification in Food Science (or equivalent) or manufacturing experience will be highly regarded.
A positive team player, willingness to learn, and reliability.

YOUR ROLE

Tasting and approval/rejection of finished flavours
Perform lab analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, stability samples, and finished products
Investigate out-of-specification results
Complete product specification and production documents to ensure compliance with food legislation, Australian Standards, and customer requirements
Assist in the management of customer complaints or customers’ requests for information
Maintain, monitor, and review food safety/quality programs, including calibration, verification, and testing.
Assist the quality team in certification audits and compliance audits
Perform investigations and root cause analysis
Maintain the lab in a clean and organised manner.
