The Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Control Manager to join an international packaging design agency based in South London. Fluency in German is required to at least A-level/professional standard. This role would suit someone with a linguistic background looking to expand their career and/or to take a step into quality control working within a creative environment. Full on-the-job training will be provided, with the expectation to grow into the role and receive more autonomy as the role progresses.

Job Summary:
As the Quality Control Manager/Executive, you will initially assist but with the aim to have complete responsibility for the Quality Control process quality checking creative brand guidelines procedures. You will be able to work in a fast-paced environment by meeting all client and internal deadlines. You will grow in knowledge and will be able to advise other staff members within the studio on applicable guidelines.

Responsibilities:

1. To assist and grow into the role in order to be responsible for the complete administration of the quality control checking procedure including:
1. External client checks
2. Admin and filing related to external checks
3. Check designs and artworks for compliance with existing (brand) guidelines
4. First stage artwork checks
5. Any other quality control related tasks
2. To learn the detailed knowledge and grow to be able to advise and train other members of staff within the studio on the content of the following ALDI guidelines: Barcodes & QR-Codes, Nutrition and Fish- and Meat Sustainability.
3. To learn the knowledge and grow to be able to advise other members of staff within the studio on the content following the guidelines and rules for industry standards.
4. To be accountable for checking all design, text, layout and colour aspects within artworks against our brand guidelines for all types of German and multi-lingual language food and non-food packaging.
5. Confirm the precision and accuracy of work at first stage by ensuring that all jobs comply with existing brand guidelines; checking against all aspects of the design, layout, font and colours.
6. Feedback to internal account managers and artworkers on all aspects of the design and concisely advise on any required amendments.
7. Converse with clients efficiently and politely by email or phone in German and English, and provide written reports for external checking tasks.
8. In time, to be familiar and advise clients on costs for our services, if required.

Job Skills and Qualifications:

1. Fluent in both English and German, writing and speaking
2. Educated to at least Degree level qualification
3. Creative/branding industry experience is advantageous
4. Excellent written and verbal communications skills
5. Excellent attention to detail skills
6. Experience in MS Office packages (Outlook/Word/Excel)
7. You will be able to balance and own your own workload
