Responsibilities
  • Assure all project-related work plans and generate project-specific quality control plan for client consideration and acceptance.
  • Review subcontractor quality plans for compliance to requirements.
  • Inspect work conformance to contract and design documents.
  • Understand drawings and specifications.
  • Implement the Three Phase Control System.
  • Develop daily quality control reports, prepare and issue detailed meeting minutes, and assist with post construction reports.
  • Use Submittal Register to track and assure required materials are approved in a timely manner.
  • Manage in-depth technical reviews of submittals against design documents.
  • Proactively initiate deficiencies and non-conformances documentation, and monitor and verify corrective actions.
  • Stop work if necessary to resolve matters that affect safety, quality or non-compliance with design documents.
  • Verify materials received are same as those identified in approved submittals and complete material receipt inspection checklists.
  • Coordinate, witness, and document 3rd Party testing, special inspections, and commissioning of building systems.
  • Document all tests and results.
  • Coordinate and document completion inspection process.
  • Manage a timely project closeout to include compilation and turnover of all required documents.
  • Coaches and mentors less experienced team members.
  • Supports a positive and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • BS in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management.
  • 10 years of construction experience as project engineer, project manager, superintendent or construction manager with 2 years as QC Manager. Large project experience ($50M to $100M) very helpful.
  • USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors training certification preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel user.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Skilled using Procore, BIM/Navisworks preferred.

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For Connecticut this ranges from $129,200.00-$157,800.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
