Quality Control Analyst

Quality Control Analyst: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Control Analyst to join a leading company in the chemical industry. Based in Milton Keynes, this role is ideal for an analytical professional with expertise in HPLC operations and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct QC analysis of in-process and finished product samples according to specifications and methods.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of QC laboratory instrumentation required for testing.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the department.
• Perform calibration and maintenance of instruments.
• Prepare laboratory reagents and standards in compliance with quality procedures.
• Train operators on analytical methods and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Maintain records, procedures, and work instructions to ensure compliance.
• Investigate non-conforming products and customer quality complaints, following internal procedures.

What They’re Looking For:

MUST HAVE:

• Degree-level qualification in Chemistry or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with HPLC operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

DESIRABLE:

• Knowledge of Quality Management standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 12776, and BRC.
• Experience in the chemical or chemical distribution industry.
• Experience working in a Food/Cosmetic FMC environment.
• Experience conducting internal audits.
