Established in 1997 as the first manufacturer of sushi for the UK supermarket industry, Taiko has evolved into the most innovative manufacturer of Sushi, Food To Go, Prepared Meals, and Snacking products in the UK, supplying Waitrose, Tesco, and Sainsbury’s to name a few. Over the past 25 years, Taiko has launched more first-to-market Sushi and Food to Go products than any other sushi manufacturer in the UK.

As a Quality Control Administrator for a warehouse, you are responsible for ensuring that all products meet the company's quality standards before they are shipped out. Your role typically includes overseeing inspections, managing inventory quality, and documenting any discrepancies or issues.

  • Good understanding of the operation, products, and procedures.
  • High level of reliability, flexibility, and punctuality.
  • Advanced IT literacy with experience in MS Office and Excel.
  • Driven and dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
Due to expansion, we are looking for QC Administrators working 7 days a week on a rolling rota from 5pm to 1am (additional shift allowance is paid).

Responsibilities include:

  • Inspect incoming raw materials (including packaging) ensuring that they are within specification and report any out of specification.
  • Monitor and ensure that raw materials (including packaging) are within specification during storage and transfers.
  • Check compliance with food safety and QA procedures including control measures for allergens.
  • Ensure raw materials are stored in the correct manner.
  • Ensure FIFO is followed by the raw material team at all times.
  • Maintain warehouse-controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Handover record sheets to the Technical department for reviewing.
  • Ensure that all delivery notes for all Goods-in for the day are signed for actual correct volume, quality, and date by the Warehouse team including the delivery notes for all Goods-in for the day in Miniclipper and Transkold.
  • Provide BB dates and Batch numbers for each delivery to the Warehouse Systems Controller so that they may book the stock in accurately and create labels for the goods.
  • Apply labels to all goods received.
  • Accurate processing of transfers to production on Navision for vegetables daily and report any shortages to the purchase team and Supply Chain manager. Responsible for stock control on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that all transfers to Production are recorded accurately.
  • Work closely with and provide cover to the Warehouse Systems Controller in case of absence.
  • Assist Warehouse staff with their duties if QC tasks are not busy.
  • Ensure Warehouse areas and yard are kept clean and tidy.
