About the role

As a Quality Compliance Advisor at Sorted Logistics, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our operations across our Islington Canterbury location. This full-time position is integral to upholding our industry-leading standards and driving continuous improvement within our transport and logistics functions. Reporting to the People, Safety & Compliance Manager, this role can be based in Christchurch or Auckland, and travel between our sites will be required.

What you'll be doing

1. Developing and maintaining quality management systems and processes to meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices
2. Conducting regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate quality and compliance risks
3. Providing expert guidance and training to operational teams to foster a culture of quality
4. Collaborating cross-functionally to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
5. Reporting on quality metrics and KPIs to support data-driven decision-making
6. Staying up-to-date with relevant quality standards, regulations and industry developments

What we're looking for

1. Experience in a quality assurance or compliance role, ideally within the transport or logistics industries
2. Strong working knowledge of quality management systems and ISO standards and Food Safety
3. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address quality issues
4. Ability to effectively communicate quality requirements and train operational teams
5. Highly organised with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement
6. Relevant degree or professional qualifications in quality management or a related field
