Job Title: QA Auditor/Assistant
Location: Derby (DE24)
Pay Rate: £12.98 per hour
Job Type: Temporary (6 months) with potential for a permanent role
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm) — occasional weekend work may be required

About the Role:
We are hiring a QA Auditor/Assistant for a well-known brand in the food industry based in Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in Quality Assurance, ensuring food safety and product quality through routine checks and collaboration with the production team.
Please note: This role involves working in a cold environment and requires handling raw meat products, including pork, beef, and poultry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct QA and QC checks, including temperature, weight, and cleaning checks.
2. Ensure food safety controls are monitored and maintained.
3. Support the investigation of customer complaints and process issues.
4. Assist in maintaining food safety certifications (BRC, Red Tractor).
5. Work closely with production teams to uphold quality standards.
6. Participate in product tastings as part of quality checks.

About You:

1. Previous experience in food manufacturing or Quality Assurance is desirable.
2. Knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, BRC) is a plus.
3. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
4. Good communication and IT skills.
