Quality Assurance Officer (Food Manufacturing)

Are you working in QA and looking to build your experience in the Food Technology / Science industry? Do you have an eye for detail and quality and have an interest in processes? Do you enjoy working in a collaborative team environment?

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to provide support in the maintenance of our quality systems and contribute to the overall quality control of the business.

YOUR SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1 year experience in food and beverage manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of food technology systems and food quality.
  • Problem analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work autonomously.

YOUR ROLE

  • Ensure compliance of the Quality Management and food safety systems to the highest standard - SQF.
  • Ensure all documentation and records are being maintained.
  • Manage laboratory testing as required.
  • Work collaboratively with the operations and production team by providing support and assistance.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement, delivering to the requirements outlined in the methodology and strengthening Quality and Food Safety Systems.
  • Ensure the use and success of structured root cause analysis after incidents relating to product quality, or the quality systems, have occurred. Put in place preventative measures to avoid recurrence of defects.
  • Be responsible for the calibration and monitoring of on-line and off-line monitoring instruments used for measurement of quality parameters across the site.
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks as delegated by the Quality Coordinator.
  • To be eligible, you must have full working rights in Australia.
