We are looking for a dedicated and organised Quality Assurance Officer to support the day-to-day planning, review and development of our project delivery and quality assurance processes. The Quality Assurance Officer is required to be a Pillar of Knowledge providing assistance, direction, and development of all facets of the project delivery process and quality assurance controls within a fast-growing company.
We need a self-starter who is confident and able to deal with the project delivery teams to ensure we are delivering projects to the expected standard. You will be responsible for providing overall direction in the form of process guidance and standards for Quality Management.
Role Responsibilities
Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Assist the Head of Management Systems and Compliance in continuous monitoring and development of the internal management systems and processes.
- The Quality Management Officer will have delegated ownership in delivering elements of the internal management system deliverables.
- Supporting the Head of Management Systems and Compliance in managing external audits and accreditation review across REDs ISO standards as well as liaison with the various subject matter experts within the business:
- ISO9001 QMS
- ISO45001 HSMS
- ISO14001 EMS
- ISO37001 ABMS
- ISO50001 EnMS
Monitoring Quality and Processes
- Support the Head of Management Systems and Compliance with the adoption of Quality Management and project delivery policies and process, across all areas of the business.
- As the Quality Assurance Officer you will be responsible for co-ordinating and leading internal Audits, supported by the QA Champions.
- Manage internal audits and status reviews as required to create a reasonable surety that systems are being followed on a business-as-usual basis.
- Prepare and update quality records, trend analysis, trackers and reports.
- Coordinate with colleagues and project teams to close out non-compliances and raise awareness of any shortcomings.
- Generating reports for the Head of Management Systems and Compliance and other senior management stakeholders, maintaining action trackers and dashboard reporting across PDP and QMS including monitoring of KPIs.
- Undertaking lessons learnt sessions and collation of feedback on what works/what doesn’t as a part of REDs continual improvement cycle.
Project Delivery Process (PDP)
- Support the day-to-day work of our project delivery processes.
- Delegated ownership of the Project Delivery Procedure including preparation of Project Delivery Process documents including procedures, guidance handbooks and templates.
- Support the Head of Management Systems & Compliance in the delivery and ongoing evolution of a new digital project delivery system for project management encapsulating REDs Project Delivery Procedure.
- Become the “Pillar of Knowledge” of the Project Management System providing assistance, direction and development of all facets of the project delivery aspects.
- Collaborating with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to ensure new systems being implemented (such as Salesforce) correctly reflect business need.
- Managing the coordination of Project Management Clinics and at times presenting on new and updated project delivery processes.
- Lessons learnt sessions and collation of feedback on what works/what doesn’t as part of our continual improvements for project delivery.
- Superuser reputation and training on project delivery systems and processes for others in the business.
Quality Management Supporting Responsibilities
- Carry out QA / PDP Inductions for all new employees.
- Present QA and PDP training on new and updated processes.
- Carry out independent reading and research to support project delivery and quality management improvements.
Role Requirements
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role with a focus on project delivery and quality assurance.
- Project Management qualification desirable, not essential.
- ISO standard knowledge and application.
- Project management administration.
- Have a clear and logical mindset and approach to work tasks.
- Knowledge of design management and project management principles, process and reporting methodologies.
- Understanding of project quality assurance and control processes.
- You have experience with the facilitation of requirement gathering, defining acceptance criteria, and coaching others on QA principles.
- You can drive project delivery and quality improvements across the board, in the rigour of technical documentation, consistency in approach and against policy.
- You understand audit techniques and ability to identify the most effective techniques and tools to use.
- Knowledge of construction occupational health and safety requirements beneficial.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications word, excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint.
- Presentation skills.
- Ability to prioritise own workload.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
