Quality Assurance Manager - Fresh Produce

Are you an experienced Quality Assurance professional within food and fresh produce? This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a leading grower of soft fruit; committed to providing high quality produce to customers while maintaining compliant, sustainable and ethical farming practices.

The Quality Assurance Manager is an integral role within the business, ensuring all products meet stringent compliance and quality standards.

The role:

1. Manage product quality assurance, ensuring conformity to food safety, quality and legal standards and requirements.
2. Deliver the Quality Service Level (QSL) target for the business and customers.
3. Work closely with other departments to manage and investigate quality issues and resolve.
4. Manage the Quality Assurance budget.
5. Undertake regular internal/external quality visits.
6. Promote quality assurance practices throughout the business.
7. Record, analyse and report on quality data.

You:

1. A proactive attitude, capable of making sound judgments and decisions under pressure.
2. Previous experience in fresh produce/quality role.
3. Previous experience of leading and supervising a team.
4. Strong understanding of BRCGS, other food safety standards and HACCP principles.
5. Experience communicating with customers on a regular basis.
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills that develop and nurture external and internal stakeholder relationships.
7. Minimum Level 2 HACCP and Food Safety qualification.
8. A degree or similar qualification in a relevant field (advantageous).
9. Strong IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office applications and other software.
