Location: Doncaster / Scunthorpe

Salary: £35-40,000 negotiable, private cash/health plan

Full time permanent Hours: Monday - Thursday 8 am - 4.30 pm, Friday 8 am - 3.30 pm, with occasional early and late hours.

Job Overview

Experienced Quality Manager to provide clear leadership for the development of an environment focused on Quality. Working for a very established and reputable manufacturing firm specializing in commercial joinery projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop Quality Management system, including ISO14001 / ISO 9001, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Controls Plans, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) processes.
  2. Maintain relationships with customers and suppliers to maximize profit and ensure efficiency.
  3. Manage the audit programme and supplier development.
  4. Work proactively with all Directors, Managers, Supervisors and Employees to maintain a programme of continual improvement.
  5. Lead a correct at source and problem-solving methodology (Lean).
  6. Achieve quality targets for customers and business goals.
  7. Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures.
  8. Implement all relevant procedures described in Quality Management System and ensure compliance.
  9. Respond to customer complaints with containment actions and implement counter measures.
  10. Update quality documentation and communicate lessons learned.
  11. Ensure all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy customer requirements and audits.
  12. Train others in all aspects of quality system and application procedures.
  13. Undertake internal and process audits of Quality Management System.
  14. Lead regular inspection meetings with representatives from appropriate departments.
  15. Produce written reports and make presentations.
  16. Ensure Health and Safety practices are observed.
  17. Perform any other reasonable duties to assist the company in attaining its business objectives.
Requirements

Experience working within a manufacturing environment is essential, with a positive and energetic attitude. Experience in a joinery environment is an advantage.
